Labor Suites at the Boise, Idaho Family Maternity Center
Saint Alphonsus Family Maternity Center works with you and your medical care professional to design a birth experience that helps ensure the best health care for you and your baby. You labor and give birth in your own private suite, and you decide who is involved in the process. You also choose what type of birthing professional you want to help with the delivery, and what type of anesthesia, if any, you prefer. Amenities of the labor suites include soft lighting, private gardens, birth partner beepers, private jacuzzi baths, and adjustable birthing beds.
Family Suites - Caring for Baby and Mother
After delivery, mother and baby will be moved to their own private family suite to recover and have quiet time to get to know each other. Your baby stays with you for feeding and personal time, and trained nurses on each shift attend to all your needs. Family suite amenities include lots of space for keeping baby in close with the new mother, cable TV featuring the newborn channel, extra sleeping space for family members or birth partners, high-speed internet access and beautifully tiled bathrooms with hairdryers.
When You Go Home - Childbirth and Parenting Support
At Saint Alphonsus, we help families prepare, grow and thrive before, during and long after you've taken your new baby home. After you go home, nurses, certified childbirth educators and lactation specialists are available to answer all your questions. The Family and Maternity Center also offers childbirth, parenting classes and maternity support groups.
