Surgical Weight Loss - LAP-BAND® System
LAP-BAND® System is the first FDA-approved adjustable gastric band for use in weight reduction. Approved for use in severely obese adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or more or for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one severe obesity related health condition, such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
LAP-BAND® System Maintenance Provider
Advanced Surgery of Idaho with two convenient locations in the Treasure Valley serves the communities of Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and is an authorized LAP-BAND® System Maintenance Provider. After two to four visits during the first month, surgeons usually see their patients every four to 12 weeks during the first year to determine if adjustments need to be made. As the adjustments can be performed without surgery, they are often done in an office setting.
