Boise Community Theater
Boise Little Theater is one of the oldest volunteer community theaters in the United States, beginning it's distinguished history in 1948 with the plays "Overtones", "Potboiler", "Sham", "Arsenic and Old Lace", and "You Can't Take it With You". Many members of the theater have been with the organization for many years and continue to participate backstage or "break a leg" onstage.
History
In 1957 a devastating fire destroyed the former theater building at Gowen Field and claimed the lives of two Boise Little Theater members. Boise Little Theater members and the Boise community were brought together under one goal, to create a new theater. The current theater is located in the Fort Boise area of Boise and has since become a landmark for the city.
