Founded in 1947, Toys for Tots has donated nearly 500 million toys to children in various communities. Each year, during October, November, and December, the Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys. These toys go to needy children to make their Christmas celebration more special.
Winter Garden aGlow
Winter Garden aGlow - A radiant display of nearly 250 thousand lights, the Winter Garden aGlow at the Idaho Botanical Garden is a wonder to behold. For a limited time only, see the G scale model train display featuring engine cars nearly 7" tall. Model train experts from the Southern Idaho Garden Railway Society will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about these steam and diesel powered replicas in the English Garden. Santa will be at the Garden Greenhouse giving out holiday wishes and taking pictures. Prancer will also be making an appearance, but due to his heavy work schedule, he may not always be available at the garden. Seeing one of Santa's reindeer is truly a magical experience, and one you are sure not to forget.

Miracle on Idaho Street
For seven years, Old Chicago on Idaho Street has provided a Christmas dinner for those at the Boise Rescue Mission and other local shelters. Each guest will receive a blanket, warm clothing, school supplies, and a visit from Santa Claus.
The Nutcracker Ballet - Presented by Ballet Idaho
This delightful holiday tale of a young girl's Christmas dream of mice and sugarplums is a joy to watch. All seating is reserved. This Christmas holiday event will be held at the Morrison Center at BSU on December 9th - 11th, 2011.
