2011 Boise Thanksgiving Events

Here are some holiday activities so you can plan your Boise Thanksgiving schedule with your family, friends and neighbors.

Idaho Food Bank Empty Bowls - Enjoy delicious soup prepared by local restaurants in a bowl hand-crafted by local artisans, amateur artists, and studios.

Gingerbread Gala 2011 - A dinner and holiday gala event. This is a fundraiser for the Family Advocate Program. The Family Advocate Program works to keep abused children out of danger and in safe homes. November 18th at BSU Jordan Ballroom.

Boise Holiday Parade - University and Capital on Saturday, November 19th at 9:45am. Don't miss the annual holiday tradition featuring the Zamzow family.

2011 Hymns of Thanksgiving Boise - Seven years running, this community choir and orchestra of about 350 musicians has been organized to present this event of giving thanks. This free event is a gift to the community. Donations are accepted on behalf of the Idaho Food Bank. November 20th at CenturyLink Arena.

Winter Garden aGlow - Held at the Idaho Botanical Garden, don't miss out on this holiday display of over 250,000 glorious lights. Holiday lights in downtown Boise can be viewed from the upper garden.

Christmas Lights Tour of Boise

Boise Centre on the Grove - BoDo Boise Downtown Boise Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

This annual Christmas event will be held at the Boise Centre on the Grove November 27th from 5-7 in downtown Boise. Mark your calendar to join in on the holiday activities. With BoDo a block away, make it a night of Christmas shopping or a holiday dining experience at one of the many downtown Boise retail shops or restaurants.

Monty Python's Spamalot

Spamalot Based upon the 1975 comedy "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", Spamalot is a highly nonsensical parody of Arthurian Legend. Follow King Arthur, Lancealot, Sir Robin, and many other characters as they quest for the Holy Grail, sing ridiculous songs, and encounter the deadly white rabbit. November 12th, 2011 at the Morrison Center.

Boise Capital City Public Market Holiday Farmer's Market

November 5th the Saturday Market takes a festive turn and becomes the Holiday Farmer's Market, featuring holiday wreathes and floral arrangements, fresh winter produce, local specialty foods and wines, as well as locally made arts and crafts. Every Saturday November 5th - December 17th.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2011 Trans-Siberian Orchestra

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is out on concert tour again and ready to wow crowds here in the Treasure Valley with their holiday tradition, combining driving rhythms and sounds from heavy metal with classical Christmas favorites. Taco Bell Arena, November 23rd, 2011.
