The annual Boise Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration will be held November 29th . Make sure to attend at the Boise Centre on the Grove. For years Treasure Valley companies, artists and craftsmen have chosen The Canyon County Christmas Gift Show to display their products and services. This weekend event features more than 100 business displays and 100 craft displays, all working together under one roof, providing thousands of unique gift ideas. Christmas fans will feel that holiday buzz in the air, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand all weekend listening to the whims of old and young alike.

Help us fill the bowls of those in need! Purchase a handcrafted bowl made by Idaho potters, and we'll fill it with hot soup from downtown restaurants. The Holiday Parade is a Boise holiday tradition and a source of pride for our community. Bring the family to this year's parade and celebrate "Dreaming of a White Christmas," along with Co-Grand Marshals.

What began in 1984 as a modest display of 14 trees in a local warehouse has grown to become a yuletide extravaganza that has raised over $5 million to improve healthcare in our community - proving that Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees is more than just the hottest holiday ticket in town, it is a celebration of what can happen when people work together for a greater good.

Located in beautiful Julia Davis Park, off Capitol Blvd. and Myrtle St. Enjoy a special day at the Boise Zoo, hear some great holiday music, have your picture taken with Santa Claus,a nd shop at Zootique. Admission to the zoo is free for everyone.

Each Saturday starting November 25th - December 23rd, Christmas in the City will be celebrated in downtown Boise. It starts the night of the Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration and concludes on December 23rd. It will be a great holiday party with Downtown Boise glowing in a festive radiance of holiday lights, retail shops, fine dining, and Santa roaming around in BODO.
